Pull-out kitchen tables are the ultimate space savers. Perfect for small kitchens and kitchen-diners, caravans and motorhomes, and even home offices, our pull-out kitchen units can give you the space you need when you need it.
Our pull-out desks, countertops and worktops, chopping boards, ironing boards simply slide out when needed, and slide away again when they’re not.
Here is a quick rundown of the 5 things you need to consider when buying a pull-out table or countertop for your home.
Our frame-only pull-out desktops, worktops and countertops provide the ultimate versatility as they allow you to choose the material of the countertop itself and therefore the overall look and finish. So, if you want a worktop extension that fits seamlessly with your existing kitchen surfaces, you can team the Flip Top Pull-Out Countertop Extension frame with the same worktop material you have elsewhere in your kitchen. If you fancy an oak-effect table, it’s easy to achieve with our frame only pull-out table option. We also offer some pull-out tables that come with the top too, giving you the option of an easily stowable pull-out chopping board, a table, or even an ironing board.
Next, you need to choose what type of unit you’d like.
Countertops fit flush with worktops, providing a seamless extension, Pull-out countertop extensions offer extra counter space to complement your existing counter-top whenever you need additional space and slot back behind a drawer front when not required. Not all of our pull-out units are designed to slide back behind a drawer front. An alternative way to get additional worktop space is by using the Top 33 Pull-Out Countertop Extension Frame which ‘floats’ over the existing worktop or island, to be pulled out when needed on a special sliding system to double your island space. Once in place, the countertops can be locked to ensure they provide a safe countertop space for you to enjoy. A Slide-Out and Revolve Countertop is also available for more limited spaces and tight angles.
Pull-out tables tend to sit below the height of the worktop, making the table an entirely separate entity that slots away neatly behind a drawer front when not needed.
Pull-out tables tend to come in a variety of widths. These include 450mm, 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm. All of these widths require a minimum drawer depth of 540mm and allow for a tabletop with a minimum worktop thickness of 16mm.
When choosing a pull-out table, it’s important to pay attention to the load guidance. Some of the smaller units are tested only to 40kg, whereas some of the more substantial pull-out worktop or table units are load rated up to 80kg like this pull-out drawer table or even 100kg, like this pull-out bench.
Some pull-out worktops such as the Snack Top Soft Close Countertop Extension in the 900mm and the 1200mm have soft close features to give your pull-out worktop a premium feel and to make extending and putting away your pull-out worktop quieter and easier.
For spaces where space is really restricted, we have a 39+ range of pull-out tables for a minimum depth of 390mm. In this range, we have a wide variety of pull-out tables, desks, and benches, so you can find any pull-out solution you’re looking for.
